South Australia Programmes - Secondary
As in our Upper Primary course structure, our focus in the Secondary Student programme is standard. We strive to enable students to become competent in as many dances as possible. The choreography within a number of dance routines is more complex than that taught to younger students; however we constantly assess the pace that students can cope with and adjust it accordingly.
With our strong emphasis on competence we may not cover all dances listed on the programme. However, our goal each week is to teach a new dance and review those previously taught.
In a Full Term course, two sessions will be dedicated to reviewing the dances covered, to ensure that the students have gained a good understanding of steps and timing.
Reviews in the Half Term course will necessarily be shorter and not all listed dances will be covered.
