A social dance, whether formal or informal, presents an opportunity for students to demonstrate their new skills gained through our programmes. At Footsteps Dance Company we have extensive experience in social dance presentation. Each year we run over 1000 evenings, most of which include student performances of the dances they have learnt in their earlier courses.

A Footsteps social is highly structured from start to finish combining students newly found dance skills, games and dance activities. Consultation on the format of the evening, such as the amount of formal and informal dancing required and any special requests regarding music, is essential to putting together a successful function.

Our fee for managing the evening is $385 (inc GST) for 2½ hours which includes; JBL speaker, CD console, mixer, 2 intelligent lights plus all the music and dance instruction for the evening. If you want extra time the cost is $55 (inc GST) per half hour thereafter. We can also arrange extra equipment for additional fees including; extra lighting, mirror balls, smoke machines and bubble machines.

At Footsteps we are aware that the needs of students, parents and teachers differ from school to school and are more than happy to provide a service that is tailored to suit certain requirements and expectations. We will organise the occasion from start to finish in accordance with any specific requests and will ensure that all the students are included for a very successful evening.
